Nurturing Hearts Challenging Minds Inspiring Dreams
We would like to remind you or introduce you to our SCRIP Program here at Good Samaritan School (GSS). SCRIP is a fundraising program that works while you shop with the money raised directly benefiting our students and school.
What is SCRIP?
SCRIP is simply a word that means, "substitute money". In other words, SCRIP is gift certificates from national and local retailers. They’re the same gift certificates that you buy at the store. Many popular retailers participate in our scrip program including Safeway, Kohl’s, Home Depot, Arco, Pizza Hut, Applebee’s, Starbucks and many, many others. Local retailers include Yogurt Extreme, American Dream Pizza, Book Bin, and others.
You might ask how do the merchants help us raise money. It’s simple. SCRIP participating retailers
agree to sell gift certificates to our organization at a discount. GSS families buy the certificates for
full face value, redeem them for full face value, and GSS keeps the difference as revenue.
The appeal of SCRIP is it puts regular household purchasing dollars to work. You earn money for our school without spending funds on items outside your usual budget. Just spend your regular shopping dollars with SCRIP at the stores that participate in the program. SCRIP can be used for gifts and other household purchase including food, clothing, entertainment, gasoline, and even dining out. It is a beneficial resource that meets many purchasing needs.
Please click on the SCRIP order form button above to see the complete list of participating retailers and get started raising money for the school. Orders are placed as they are received, but bi-monthly orders are preferred whenever possible. Orders may be left in the school office. If you have any additional questions, contact SCRIP Coordinator Jenny Hanson, at 541-829-0700 or emailto:email@example.com
Box Tops for Education has helped America’s schools earn over $400 million since 1996. Families can earn cash for GSS by clipping Box Tops coupons from hundreds of participating products to earn cash to support the school. The program is simple:
1. Buy your favorite Box Tops products.
2. Cut out the Box Top from each package.
3. Send your Box Tops to GSS with your child.
4. GSS gets cash for every Box Top collected to help buy the things needed most.
All the Box Tops can really add up! You can go online to www.btfe.com/products for a complete list of participating box tops products.
Annual Fund Campaign Goal - $15,000
Like all independent schools, Good Samaritan School (GSS) depends on more than tuition to fulfill its mission. Your tax-deductible donations to the Annual Fund Campaign go a long way to maintaining and enhancing the educational experience of each student.
